Message drive shafts.

on first glance cf ds are great they are lighter and have great torsional shock damprage.

but if you are looking to lighten up your rotational mass, I don't think a cf ds is worth the money.

before power train started making aluminum ds i had my local ds shop make me a custom one for my turbo auto and na diff. it worked great and i am very happy with it. it only weighs 13 pounds compared to 30 something for the two piece.

now granted cf is lighter than aluminum but the cf shaft is not that much lighter than the aluminum because the ends of both shafts are still steel, and infact the cf shaft has to use more steel than the aluminum shaft in order to adapt the ujoints to the shaft, where as the aluminum shaft can use aluminum which is much lighter than steel.

i paid like 400 for my shaft and it has never had any problems. it just isn't worth an extr 600+ dollars to shed 2 or 3 lbs if that much

just thought i would give you my opinion.
